Joseph Green, 90, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2013. Joe was a retired Air Force Sergeant of twenty-one years. He served overseas in Saipan, Germany, Korea, Iceland, Labrador and Newfoundland. He also served in WWII and the Vietnam Wars where he received several medals. Joe retired from Tele-type after twenty years.
Joe is preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Green; his mother, father, two brothers, and stepson, Larry Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Green; sister Inez Mosley; daughters Renee and (Tim) Miller, Mary Ellen and (John) Matte; daughter-in-law Lenora Johnson; grandkids John and Amy Johnson, Lora and Mike Fones and Melinda Nash; great-grandkids Braedon, Cole and Kinleigh Johnson; Kearsten and Marissa Fones; and several friends and family.
We love you Joe, and will be deeply missed. We had a long and loving marriage and will meet again one day. Love you, Gerri.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2013, at Beebe First Baptist Church, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Westbrook, a Smith Family Funeral Home.
