Joseph "Joe" Wyrick

 

      Joseph (Joe) Lee Wyrick, 49, of Beebe, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2023 surrounded by family at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. Joe was born in Orange County California on May 30, 1973 to the late Buster and Flossie Wyrick. 

      He graduated in 1991 from Marked Tree High School. Joe began his service in law enforcement in the early 90’s as a dispatcher, jailer and then moved on to be a patrolman. He relocated to McRae in ‘98 and met the mother of his children, Justina. 

     Joe was a volunteer at the McRae Fire department from 1998 to 2010 where met countless individuals who were near and dear to him including his mentors the late Kenny and Mike Harmon. As well as a friend who was more like a brother, Will Wasilowski. 

     Over the years, Joe spent countless hours on the softball field coaching girls fastpitch softball for 12 years. He purchased his first jeep in 2017 and became active in the jeep community. Going on countless adventures and growing more friendships. Not only active in the jeep community, Joe was also a passionate car lover. He enjoyed spending time at the drag strip, car shows and tinkering on vehicles with special friends Brian, Randy and David. 

     Joe is preceded in death by his Father, Mother, two brothers- Jerry and Terry Wyrick, both of Marked Tree, Arkansas. One Sister- Diane Smith of Kingston Arizona. As well as her son Ray Discher. 

     Left to cherish his memories are his children Landry and Canyon Wyrick, both of Beebe; One sister- Barbara (Jimmy) Jones of McRae; sister-in law Judy Wyrick of Marked Tree; The mother of his children- Justina (Casey) Elliott of Beebe; numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of others including friends and family across the US. 

     Services will begin with a visitation on January 14, 2023 at 10:00am at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr. in Beebe; followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00am and burial at Fredonia Cemetery in Bald Knob.
