Josephine Lorraine Wise

Josephine Lorraine Wise of Benton, Arkansas was born February 27, 1939 and left this world for her heavenly home with our Lord to be reunited with the late Joseph Lee Wise Jr., the love of her life, on August 30, 2023 at the beautiful age of 84. 

She was fondly known as "Momma Jo" to most everyone who knew her. She was everyone's Momma and so loved by all for her kind and loving soul.

She will be missed by many, but never forgotten. She leaves behind her 3 sons that she dearly loved, Donnie Ray Wise and Vickie of Benton, AR, Gary Lee Wise and Anita of Benton, AR, and William Fredrick Wise and Debbie of Little Rock, AR. She also leaves behind her sisters, Lou Giaimo, Billie Castera, and Susie Nichols; and her brother, David Lands. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Sean Wise, April Wise, Shieka Wise, Rebecca Huey, and Josh Price; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson; and a host of nieces and nephews which were all equally loved by her.

In Heaven she will be greeted by her mother, LuVurne and Clarence Lands; her siblings, Jerry Lands, Dorothy Grundy, and Sammy Lands; as well as her beloved grandson, Sean.

Jo had no shortage of love. She loved the Lord and she adored her church family, who loved and supported her during her final days.

We will all see you in Heaven, "Momma Jo". Rest in eternal love, our precious Mother!

Visitation will be held at Smith Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 PM. Services will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 1:30 PM followed by burial at Pinecrest Cemetery.
