Joshua Carl McKenzie, 28 of Little Rock, died Friday, April 20, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident. Joshua was born February 8, 1984 in Little Rock to Carl and Mary Lee (Graves) McKenzie.
Josh was a graduate of Sheridan High School and worked for GLB Construction. He was a member of Bingham Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing his guitar, and writing.
Josh is survived by his parents Carl and Mary Lee McKenzie of Hensley, fiance' Brittni Cole of Little Rock, brother BJ McKenzie and wife Michelle and their children Analise and Abigail of East End, grandparents Bill and Ellen Graves of Jonesboro, aunts and uncles Ann & Ronny Baty of Sherwood, Wilma & Tony Rice of Jonesboro, Kim & Lulu Graves of Harrisburg, Kenny & Kim Graves of Harrisburg, Eddie Hopper of Little Rock and Brenda Pugh of Harrisburg, great aunts and uncle; Bessie and Louis Wilson of Mabelvale and Carmon Moore of East End and his dog and best friend; Max, the beloved boxer as well as a host of friends and other family members. Joshua was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents James & Eloise McKenzie, formerly of Biscoe.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Bingham Road Baptist Church in East End, with Bro. Roger Brown and Bro. Bill Hilburn officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Salem Cemetery, East End community.
