Joy Belle Shadrick Ransom, 89, of Conway, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in Beebe. She was born June 19, 1928 in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Joy enjoyed camping, fishing, and all kinds of dancing, especially two-stepping. She was a member of McRae United Methodist Church.
Joy was preceded in death by her husband, L. J. Ransom who died April 30, 2017. Also preceding her in death are her parents, Nellie and Doyle Shadrick; two brothers, Dave and James Shadrick; sister Lovelle Shadrick Powell and infant sister Betty Jean Shadrick.
She is survived by her sister Anna Jean (Clare) Williams, and special sister-in-law Charlene and her daughter Charlotte. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Weir Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. www.SmithFamilyCares.com
