Joyce Griffin

Joyce Griffin of Jacksonville, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022, just a few days prior to her 70^th birthday.  She was born to the late John A. Hardcastle and Betty Jo Boothe Hardcastle in Little Rock. 

Joyce was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She worked in purchasing for the State of Arkansas, the Arkansas State Forest Department and Arkansas State University.  She served in the Army in Germany, and in the Army National Guard (212 Signal and Arkansas Military Academy). She taught at the Air Base, ASU and Pikes Peak. She was a graduate of Sylvan Hills High School in 1972 and got her Master’s Degree in Administration at Webster University. Joyce enjoyed computers, art work, needlepoint, crocheting, but most of all spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Franklin Griffin, Sr.; son, Franklin “Wes” Griffin, Jr. (Misti) of Jacksonville; sister, Judy Danielowicz (Dan) of North Little Rock; brother, John A. Hardcastle, Jr. (Ann) of Sherwood; granddaughter, Haley Griffin of Jacksonville; two grandsons, Cody Seats (Lori) and Mackenzie Seats (Callie); 3 great-grandchildren: Weston, Colton, and Paisley; her two fur babies, Sissi and Bear; and extended family and friends.

A visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.  Funeral service is 11:00 AM, Monday, October 24, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, 7417  Jacksonville Conway Road, Jacksonville.
