Joyce Lorrine Mott

Joyce Lorrine Mott, 75, of Alexander, Arkansas passed away July 10, 2023.  She was born August 17, 1947 in Fordyce, Arkansas to the late Dewey West and Eunice (Lamb) West.

Joyce was a faithful member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church in Alexander, Arkansas for over thirty years.  She was a former employee for over 40 years at Looney’s Tire Service and Truck Tire Center in Little Rock, Arkansas as a secretary and bookkeeper.  She also served as the secretary for the Collegeville Fire Department for many years.  Joyce loved serving at church, working in her yard, cherished her dogs and cats, enjoyed traveling, and made the best macaroni and cheese ever. 

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Eunice West of Fordyce, Arkansas.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 56 years, Earl Mott, Sr. of Alexander, Arkansas; son, Earl Mott, Jr. and wife Kristina Mott of Cabot, Arkansas; 2 grandchildren that she adored:  Harrison Mott and Madeline Mott; brother. James “Buddy” West and wife Dorris of Glen Haven, Colorado; 2 nephews:  James and John West; sister and best friend, Mary Ann Weeks and husband Randy of Sheridan, Arkansas and their children:  Ryan Weeks, Westy Leslie, and Wendy Harrison; and many more family members and friends who love Joyce and will miss her always.

Memorials may be made to Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 8602 Springhill Rd, Alexander, AR 72002.
