Joyce J. Crow Smith age 83, of Arkadelphia passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013 in Hot Springs. She was born August 10, 1930 in Haskell, Texas the daughter of the late H. L. and Eula Beckham Crow. Joyce was a member of Second Baptist Church of Arkadelphia. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grand mother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Winston Smith, one brother, Elton Crow, and one sister, Ora Faye Haliburton.
Survivors are her husband of sixty-four years, Ivy Smith Jr.; one daughter Karen E. Hollis and husband, Bill; three grandchildren, Angela Turner, Jay and Andrew Spinks; four great-grandchildren, Angelina Turner, Derrick Turner Jr., Herrin and Cason Spinks; two sisters, Florene Kingston of Kermit, TX and Lorene Singleton of Pasadena, TX, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday, December 4 at Second Baptist Church with Pastor Stan Parris officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 9 AM till service time Wednesday at the Church.
Memorials may be to Second Baptist Church Building Fund.
