Juanita Patricia "Pat" Drake-Ervin — daughter, mother, wife, and Nanny — went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 18, 2025, just days before her 83rd birthday.
Born on May 23, 1942, she was a proud Arkansan through and through. She was a devoted lover of books, a loyal supporter of the Arkansas Razorbacks, and above all else, a steadfast pillar of strength for her family. She was known for her independence, her unapologetic honesty, and her boundless love — especially for those she held closest.
Pat lived with courage and conviction. She spoke her mind without hesitation and embraced life with an unmatched tenacity. Her love was deep and enduring, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her will never be forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her mother Lillian Cook, stepfather, Richard Cook, brothers Billy Ray Cook, Cecil(Veronica) Owens and Chester James "CJ"(Nita) Weaver, sister Bea(Dale) Green, and daughter, Pamela Jean Whitley. She is survived by her husband Douglas Ervin, daughter Ronda Drake, stepdaughter Alicia(Dennis) Cotabish, stepson Aaron Ervin, grandsons Keith(Katie) Whitley and Alexander Drake, granddaughters Katie Thomas and Quinlan Howard, step-grandchildren Blake Goodwin, Chloe and Joseph Cotabish, Brice and Bradley Ervin, great grandchildren Rhett, Bentli, and Knox Whitley and Kain Thomas, along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
A small family graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Morrilton, AR at 1200 on May 31, 2025 to honor her life.
