Juanita R. Harter, 89, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012. She was born in Ottumwa, Iowa to Ernest W. and Olive "Pearl" Albertson Bennett, and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She had taught in the Caddo Parish School District of Shreveport.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harry C. Harter, brother, Fred L. Bennett, and sisters, Ruby Myers and Hazel McCrory, she is survived by her sons, Steve Harter (Barbara) of Grayson, Georgia and Scott Harter (Stacy) of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, October 19 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Jeff Price. Graveside services will be Monday, October 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 4501 Rahling Rd., Little Rock, AR 72223 or to the Audubon Society, 4500 Springer Blvd., Little Rock, AR 72206.
