Juanita Martin

Juanita D. Martin of Southaven, Mississippi, formerly of El Paso, Arkansas passed away on May 2, 2017, at the age of 82, following a stroke related illness.

Juanita was one amazing lady. Her vibrant personality and hearty laughter could warm any room. Juanita's family describes her as a, very basic and simple women, but with an extraordinary gift of elegants. She received her formal education at Arkansas State University in Beebe. After graduation, she and her best friend, Pat moved to Little Rock and shared an apartment. Juanita landed a great first job as a typist for a very large insurance company. She and John married and began their life together. Juanita was a wonderful mother to her two children. She chose to be a "Stay at Home, Mom" until both had started school. When Juanita returned to the workforce, Juanita became the Office Manager at Martin Chiropractic Center. She and John worked diligently to grow the family business. From their legacy, both children became Chiropractors and currently continue the family work in that very clinic.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John P Martin, D.C. and her mother, Marietta Davidson.

She leaves her son, Paul T. Martin, D.C.; her daughter, Mary K. Martin, D.C. and her grandson, David P. Martin and his wife, Jessica J. Martin.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday May 5, 2017, at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in El Paso, Arkansas. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial in Grissard Cemetery will be postponed due to wet conditions. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe 501-882-512.
