Juanita Carol (Ms. Nita) Humphries went home to be with the Lord on April 4, 2026, at the age of eighty-five. She was born on October 30, 1941, in Malvern, Arkansas, to Mitchell L. Jackson and Mary Emma Hathaway. Juanita grew up on a dairy farm in Possum Trot, Arkansas. She attended and graduated high school at Bismarck, before attending Business School and Seminary.
Ms. Juanita loved working with kids and worked as a substitute teacher and as a children’s minister at several churches, most notably at First Baptist Church in Beebe. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, baking and making handcrafts.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bro. Bud, brother Ronald Jackson, sister Margaret Jackson-Rice, sons Ronnie Wayne Humphries and Heath Edwin Humphries, and daughter Shannon Humphries.
She is survived by her daughters, Theresa Humphries, Rhonda Gail Humphries, Nicole Michelle Humphries, sister Elaine Jackson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 8th at 10:00 AM at the Butlerville Cemetery in Ward, Arkansas. Arrangements by Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W Dewitt Henry, Beebe. To view the online register, www.smithfamilycares.com
