Juanita Pruitt
Juanita S. Pruitt, wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2017. She was born April 24, 1925 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Emma and Lair Spires. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 61 years, Dr. William (Bill) Pruitt, son, Bobby Pruitt, brothers, Blake and Charles Spires, sister-in-law, Mildred Herring, and brothers-in-law, Jim Hall, Don Herring and W.A. Solomon.
She is survived by two devoted daughters, Debbie Shearer and Marsha Pruitt Hays. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Cliff Shearer; sister, Wanda Hall; sister-in-law, Katherine Solomon; nephews, Tommy and Randy Solomon; and special niece, Mindy Baird. Her friends and family will miss her terribly. Mamaw Ni will be especially missed by her grandchildren, Jeff Shearer and Michelle Whatley. She was so happy when Jeff married Nicole and Michelle married Chad and always looked forward to seeing and talking to them. She worked for the telephone company before having her three children and later at her husband's optometry office. She was a member of Western Hills United Methodist Church for over 50 years. "Mom, please say hi to Dad and Bobby."

A celebration service officiated by Reverend Shari Day will be held on Saturday, October 14 at 2:00 p.m., preceded by visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m., at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Western Hills United Methodist Church, 4601 Western Hills Ave., Little Rock, AR 72204.
