Juanita Scruggs

Juanita Scruggs, 93, of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away Sunday November 12, 2017 at Bradford House Nursing Home in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born July 19, 1924 to Virgil and Lois Parks. She worked for many years and retired from Timex watch company in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Juanita was a member of the First Baptist Church in Beebe. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Homer Scruggs and a daughter Patricia Ann Thurman. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Wayne Parks, O'Neal Parks, Warren Parks and Gerald Parks, as well as one sister Evelyn James.

She is survived by two grandsons, Scot and Robyn Thurman of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Jeff and Charity Thurman of San Francisco, California; two great grandchildren, Lila Thurman and Matthew Thurman of Bella Vista, Arkansas; a brother Bob (Verna) Parks of Beebe; a sister-in-law Gladys Reed; and a host of nieces and nephews as well who loved and adored her greatly.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 101 Hwy 64 West, Beebe, AR 72012.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Beebe, with burial in Sylvania Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. www.smithfamilycares.com
