It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Judy Brantley, age 76, on December 26, 2019 at the St. Vincent Arkansas Hospice Ottenheimer Centre in Little Rock, AR. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Edith Holfeld and brother, Garth Holfeld. Judy is survived by her brother Rick (Bev) Holfeld of Regina, Saskatchewan, son, Doug (Linda) Brantley of Sherwood, AR, daughter Diana (Chris) Raines and grandson, Noah Raines, of Mansfield, TX and sister-in-law, Marilyn Holfeld of White Rock, BC Canada and her loyal dog, Maddie Mae. Judy was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and immigrated to the USA in the early 1960’s, initially to St. Louis, Missouri and eventually settling in Arkansas where her children were born. Judy retired from UAMS as the Executive Assistant to the Chancellor in 2011. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend who’s absence will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Judy enjoyed travelling and over many summers made the long drive with her good friend Betty Holcomb to visit her mother in Canada. She also greatly enjoyed a rousing game of cards, particularly double/triple/ quadruple or more solitaire and cribbage. In her later years, Judy enjoyed fun times at the Sherwood Seniors Centre, bunko with friends and televised sports, particularly tennis, curling and game shows.
