Julia Lester
Julia Thompson Lester age 91 of Arkadelphia died Friday, January 3, 2014. She was born November 1, 1922 the daughter of Henry and Nevada Lee Thompson. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Lester, one son, Terry Lester, one brother, Robert Thompson and two sisters, Frankie Fite and Myrtle Mays.
Survivors are two sons, Mark (Lisa) Lester and Luke (Lynn) Lester all of Arkadelphia, four daughters, Linda (Chuck) Kupelian of Shreveport, Marla (Jesse) Barber of Wheatley, Debra (Arfan) Fahoum of Maumelle, and Judy (Marion) Hughes of Dallas, one sister, Vesta Hughes of Nashville, TN, 25 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday, January 6th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Junius Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Macedonia Cemetery near Dalark.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
