Julia Ann Stephens passed away at the age of 87. She was born on February 27, 1938, in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Julia was an avid reader who loved to travel, cook, and collect seashells. She had a deep love for those around her, always making others feel valued. Julia found fulfillment in her work as a nurse, but her greatest joy came from being a devoted mother, grandmother (Mamaw, Grandma, and Bhaju), and great-grandmother. She loved the Lord deeply, and her faith was clearly reflected in the way she loved and served others.
She is survived by her two sons, Larry Beck (Marsha) and David Beck, both of Austin, AR. Julia was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren, Sarah (BJ) Richardson of Lonsdale, AR, Amanda (Michael) Gonia of Cabot, Ben (Molly) Yazman of Charlottesville, VA, Josh (Savannah) Yazman of Alexandria, VA, Jessica (Brent) Blackburn of Taylor, AR, Bailey (Daniel) Ramsey of Bismarck, AR, Kyle (Sara) Beck of Fort Worth, TX, Megan (Nathan) Scott of Weatherford, TX. She also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren: Riley, Anne Claire, Julie, Zeke, Carter, Adalee, Hudson, Silas, Judah, Lucas, Ava, Conner, Ella, Reid, and Theo.
Julia was preceded in death by her mother, Hattie Wingfield; stepdad, Noel Wingfield; father, Woodrow Stephens; brother, Kenny Wingfield; daughter, Melissa Yazman; son, Michael Beck; husband, Wilbur Stroud; grandson, Brennan Beck; and great-granddaughter, Emma Gonia.
Later in life, Julia joyfully reconnected with other siblings and cherished the time she spent with them. She was also blessed with many cousins and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
