Julie Ann Gashel, age 76, of Hot Springs, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023.

She was born on March 12, 1947, in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Howard Bloom and Eunice Mincemoyer Bloom, who has preceded her in death. On September 11, 1976, she married the love of her life, William Gashel, and together they built a wonderful life.

Julie dedicated nine years of her life as a flight attendant, a career that allowed her to explore and embrace her love for travel. She had a particular fondness for London, Italy, and Rome. These cities captivated her with their rich history, vibrant culture, and picturesque landscapes. Julie would often share enchanting stories of her adventures abroad with friends and family, painting vivid pictures of the wonders she had seen.

Beyond her career in the skies, Julie was known for her passion for cooking and serving others. She found joy in preparing delicious meals for loved ones, using her culinary skills to create memorable experiences around the dinner table. Her warm hospitality extended far beyond the kitchen as she selflessly devoted herself to helping those in need.

Julie's love for serving others was not limited to preparing food; she also had a heart for leading children's Bible Study Fellowship. Through this volunteer work, Julie provided guidance and support to young minds eager to learn about their faith. She believed in nurturing their spiritual growth and inspiring them with wisdom from the Bible.

Those who knew Julie would describe her as outgoing and friendly. Her vibrant personality shone brightly wherever she went, bringing comfort and joy to those around her. Whether it was engaging in meaningful conversations or sharing light-hearted laughter, Julie had a way of making people feel truly seen and appreciated.

Although Julie's career achievements were remarkable, it is undeniable that her proudest accomplishments lie within her family. Her children and grandchildren brought immense happiness to her life. Julie cherished every moment shared with them and took pride in watching them grow into remarkable individuals.

Julie Ann Gashel leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and adventure. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
