June McDonald

June Ernestine McDonald, 86, of North Little Rock was called home to her heavenly father on May 1, 2017. June was a licensed practical nurse, and served many years as office manager for the Trane Company in Little Rock.

Born in Tiptonville, Tennessee, on April 6, 1931, to Ernest and Mamie Cooper LeDuke, June always had a passion for music, and began singing in Methodist church choirs at an early age. She met her husband, Thomas E. McDonald, singing in the church choir in Memphis, TN. They shared their love of music in many choirs during their 61 years of marriage, most recently at First United Methodist Church, North Little Rock.

She will be remembered for her boundless energy, her passion for traveling, and as a loving and compassionate mother whose life was an inspiration and testament to her strong Christian faith. She was devoted to her family and a doting grandmother.

In addition to her parents and husband, June was preceded in death by her son, Michael K. McDonald and two brothers, Donald LeDuke and B. F. LeDuke. She is survived by sons Timothy McDonald (Kristin) of Little Rock and Thomas R. "Boo" McDonald (Becky) of Sherwood, seven grandchildren, Hope Wenger (David), Eric McDonald, Cole Walden, Randy McDonald (Rebekah), Jonathan McDonald (Kristin), Chris McDonald (Allison), Kimberly Eden, and ten great-grandchildren, Devon and Charlotte Wenger, Kara and Kyla McDonald, Corey and Evelyn McDonald, and Joey, Emily, Abby and Jacob Ellis. She also leaves behind her beloved sister-in-law Jean Tiffin, three nieces, Vicki Campbell, Carol James, and Joy Sutherland, other members of her extended family, and many friends.
