It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Karen Holly Stevens, who went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2025 surrounded by her beloved family.
Karen was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a faithful servant of Christ. She was the heart of the Stevens family and built her life on faith, generosity, and the love she poured into everyone she met.
Born on September 1, 1952, in Oregon, where she met and married the love of her life, Charles Stevens, for 56 beautiful years. Together, they built a life full of warmth, laughter, and unwavering commitment. She spent her life caring for others and putting her family first.
She is survived by her children: Jim Stevens (Heide), Holly Fite (Brian), and Cindy Ditty (Rob), and grandchildren Samantha, Alex, Amanda, Kristen, Payton, Aidan, Courtney, and Jesse, who carry forward her legacy of kindness, strength, and faith. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, sharing meals, celebrating holidays, and offering her gentle guidance and encouragement.
A woman of deep Christian faith, Karen was a lifelong member of The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She lived out her beliefs with humility, compassion, and an open heart—always ready to help someone in need or offer a word of comfort.
She will be remembered for her quiet generosity, unwavering loyalty, her quiet wisdom, and her spirit of adventure. To know her was to be loved by her.
A celebration of Karen’s life will be held on May 29th at 1pm at United Methodist Church in Bismarck.
Her faith was her foundation, her family was her joy, and her love was her legacy. We are grateful for every moment we had with her and find peace in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior.
