Karen Woods

Karen Woods, age 91, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in her home with family beside her. 

She was born on July 20, 1933, in Wendell, Idaho. She was the daughter of Fredrick Wilhem Hanson and Sarah Louise Ridge Hanson. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph David Woods; her sister, Barbara O'Hara; and her brother, Robert Hanson.  

Karen married Joseph on November 8, 1963. She attended Monte Vista Christian Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Pisgah Church of Christ. She was a retired bookkeeper for Harrington Construction in Arkadelphia. She earned her associates degree in accounting. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Kim (Dan) Payne and Leslie Woods; her two grandchildren, Kendall Reese Elrod and Katlin Elrod; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home- Glenwood.
