Karl Loring Krebs

Karl Loring Krebs was born May 2, 1934 to Jean Robison and Karl Krebs at home in Shelton, Connecticut. He passed peacefully into heaven March 3, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother. He graduated from Shelton High School and Bullard-Havens School of Technology. He served two years in the Army at Ellsworth Air Base Nike Site, Rapid City, South Dakota. He began his career as a machinist for General Electric’s Experimental Program and spent the rest of his career with Remington Arms Ammunitions. It was his career with Remington that brought the family to Arkansas. He spent his retirement years enjoying his hobbies, singing, and following Razorback sports. Karl was a member of First United Methodist Church and spent many hours volunteering in many hats, from bus driver to his his Santa suit for the children at the daycare.
 
He is survived by his wife of nearly 67 years, Jacqueline (Jackye) Mills Krebs. Daughters: Karen Barnett (Mitch), Cindy Baker (Gordon), Leslie Krebs, and Kathy Thornton (Jon). Granddaughters Nikki Clem (Cory) and Allie Skrivanos. Karl leaves behind a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly. His family would like to thank the loving and generous care givers and friends who cared for him in his final days. In lieu of flowers, Karl’s family asks you to consider a donation to Hospice Home Care, 2200 S. Bowman Rd. Little Rock, AR. Or North Little Rock First United Methodist Church.
 
The family will host a Celebration of Life service for Karl on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:00am at North Little Rock 1st United Methodist Church.
