Kate Marie Nix age 88 of Sparkman died Friday, January 11, 2013. She was born February 12, 1924 in Hot Spring County the daughter of Earl and Lula Edna Voss Fite. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband John Tony Nix and one son John Mike Nix.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan Bean of Sparkman, three grandchildren, Paul Anthony Bean, Dana Marie Wingard, and John Daniel Bean, four great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Graveside funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, January13th in the Round Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Holland officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
