Katherine Elizabeth Gill, 89, of Benton, passed away August 8, 2012. Born in Decatur, Alabama to Asa W. and Ollie Hazelip Ensley, she was a longtime member of Rose Hill Church of the Nazarene.
Preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and sisters, she is survived by her husband of 71 years, Riley P. Gill, Jr.; son, David W. Gill (Pat) of Bryant; daughter, Martha Jane Gill and granddaughter, Katherine Gill, both of Jonesboro; a very special sister, Una Dacus; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
Katherine was an excellent cook and will always be remembered for "making the best chocolate chip cookies on Kanis Road." She enjoyed her flowers, canning food from the garden, working in her puzzle books, and going to breakfast on Saturdays with her "sister." She will be greatly missed.
