Kathleen Ann Carr, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on August 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and dear friends. She was born on April 27, 1943, in Benton, Arkansas and attended school at Paron.
Kathy married Kenneth Carr on October 16, 1987,and together they built their home in Mabelvale, Arkansas. Her creativity and passion shone through her hobbies, including sewing, jewelry making and crocheting and if you came for a visit, you didn't leave empty-handed.
She is survived by her sons, David Cooper and Kevin Cooper, and with his wife Ann; her daughter, Darla Harmon, and her husband Ryan; as well as a remarkable legacy of 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her family, Kathy is survived by her brother, Johnny Woodall, and his wife Gail, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Carr; daughters Carol Dodson and Donna Honea; and her parents, John and Edith Woodall.
As we remember Kathleen Ann Carr, we honor not just the life that began, but the woman she became when the power of true love transformed her from ashes into beauty. In her final three years, she became most selfless, kind and gentle, offering warmth and tenderness to those who crossed her path. Her story is a reminder that change is always possible where God's love resides.
Graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM, Thursday, August 21 at Kentucky Cemetery in Benton, Arkansas.
