Kathleen Dixon

Kathleen “Kathy” Dixon, a beloved member of the North Little Rock community, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on March 30, 1938, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, Kathleen was cherished for her hard work, kindness, and unwavering willingness to help others.

Throughout her life, Kathleen exemplified generosity. She managed several Texaco/Shell gas stations over the years, earning a reputation for reliability and dedication that made her a respected leader in her field.

Kathleen’s interests were as vibrant as her work ethic. She found joy in various hobbies such as shopping and had a unique talent for making money. These passions brought her happiness and created lasting memories for those fortunate enough to share them.

At the heart of Kathleen’s legacy was her steadfast love for her family. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Kimberly Wells (Steve) and Karen Lee (Sammie); grandchildren, Joshua Ferris and Amanda Green; great-grandchildren, Landon Green and Kyndal Green; her sister, Barbara Donis, along with other family members.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Billy Dixon, and her loving parents, Louise Vitchner and John Surrett. Their memories, along with Kathleen’s enduring spirit, will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A faithful member of Baring Cross Baptist Church, her faith was as steadfast as her compassion.

Friends and family are invited to honor Kathleen’s life at a visitation on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, located at 1921 North Main Street, North Little Rock, AR. A funeral service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Home – North Little Rock on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Little Rock National Cemetery, 2523 Springer Boulevard, Little Rock, AR, at 11:30 a.m.

Kathleen Dixon’s warmth, work ethic, and compassion touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
