Kathleen Morris Skipper, age 82, passed away on February 22, 2019 in Sherwood, Arkansas. She was born May 20, 1936 in Frina, Texas to Howard and Ethyl Morris. Fresh out of high school she went to work for Tuff-Nut Manufacturing. She then attended cosmetology school and received her license in 1969. She worked in that career until 1985 at which time she started work in the Corporate Income Tax Department for the State of Arkansas until her retirement in 1995. She still maintained her cosmetology license and had a shop inside her home.
Kathleen is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Murphy of North Little Rock and Carol (Wayne) Thoms of Illinois; three daughters, Diana (Steve) Harris, Sandra Harris, and Jennifer (Ryan) Tedford. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Glenn B. Skipper, Jr., whom passed away just 5 months ago, as well as, her parents, Howard and Ethyl Morris; first husband, Cecil Collins; son, Kevin Collins; and two brothers, Weldon Morris and Wayne Morris.
Prior to becoming ill, she loved the outdoors, working in the yard and planting her flowers.
Burial will be Monday, March 18, 2019 at 1 PM at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W Maryland, North Little Rock, AR 72120.
