Kathryn "Kathy" Ann Cummings, 57, of Jessieville, Arkansas passed away January 3, 2018. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to John Wesley Thompson, Jr. and the late Patsy Ann Herndon Thompson.
Family was Kathy's top priority. She enjoyed taking care of everyone else and always put others first. Family cookouts, attending sporting events, and spending time with family were special to her. She was proud of her family's participation in Cowboy Action Shooting, especially when her grandson, Cotton, won first place in the World for his age division. Kathy's baking was everyone's favorite. Her grandchildren loved baking holiday cookies with her and her husband's coworkers at Dassault Falcon Jet looked forward to the monthly birthday cake creations she would make for them.
Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Herndon Thompson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of forty-one years, Danny "Cornbread Dan" Cummings of Jessieville, Arkansas; three sons: Danny Cummings, Jr. of Jessieville, Arkansas, Jeremy Cummings of Jessieville, Arkansas, and Nathan Cummings and girlfriend Lori Graves of Fountain Lake, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Garrett Cummings, Madison Cummings, and Cotton Cummings; father, John Wesley Thompson, Jr. of Mississippi; two brothers: John Wesley Thompson, III and wife Mary of Louisiana, and Jeff Thompson of Mississippi; and a host of family members and friends who love Kathy and will miss her always.
Visitation with refreshments will be held from 11:00 AM - Noon, Saturday, January 13 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas. Funeral service, officiated by Bro. Allen Harper, will follow at Noon.
