Kathy Dee Winn passed away on June 24, 2022 peacefully in her home. Kathy was born December 30, 1954 on Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, TX to Phyllis Dee and Joe Blanton Lemon. She grew up on the family farm in Ropesville, TX.

Kathy began her professional accomplishments as a teacher for the hearing impaired in Lubbock before transitioning to another equally rewarding career in income development for the American Cancer Society, raising millions of dollars for cancer research. She was a very active member of the Lubbock Community, serving in the Junior League and championing student activities at Frenship High School. Kathy was a devoted member of the Baptist community. She spent the last few years of her life close to her family in Little Rock, AR. 

She is survived by son, Justin Winn; daughter, Maeghan Overley and husband Sam; grandchildren, Shepard and Wyatt; brother, Kim Lemon and husband Mike Levine.

The family would like to thank all of Kathy’s extended family and friends who have so generously supported her throughout her life. They would like to pay special tribute to Lori Manning, a true friend and member of the family.

Kathy was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid gardener, pianist, and lover of reading. She enjoyed cooking great food, and traveling from New Mexico to New York to Italy.

Graveside services for Kathy Winn will be held in Lubbock, TX to be announced at a later date. 

Memorials are requested to the Hope Lodge Lubbock 3511 10th Street, Lubbock, TX 79415.
