Katie Marie "Kadens" Lavender

Katie Marie "Kadens" Lavender, age 20, of Norman, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013. She was born on April 22, 1992, at Hot Springs, the daughter of Michael Leon Lavender and Melba Jean Finney Lavender. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles Doughten, her grandmother, Ruby Mae Lavender and her grandfather, Bobby D. Finney. Katie was a 2010 graduate of Caddo Hills High School and was employed with Xerox of Hot Springs. She was a member of the Norman United Methodist Church. She is survived by her parents, Mike and Melba Lavender of Norman; her brother, Steven Lavender of Norman; her sister and brother-in-law, Reva and Jared Vaughn of Caddo Gap; her nephew, Dacoda Vaughn of Caddo Gap; her grandmother, Helen Finney of Kirby; and several uncles, aunts and cousins. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 24, 2013, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Larry Welch and Bro. Dwight Finney officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Black Springs Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Brad Tankersley, Bobby Graves, Cody Ledbetter, Brent Vaughn, Rustin Ledbetter and Daniel Davis.
