Katrina T. Hoskins, a cherished soul and talented cake decorator, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on May 7, 1956, Katrina's warmth and spirit touched all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her ability to create stunning cakes for Kroger was not just a profession but a reflection of her artistic talent and love for spreading joy through her creations.
Katrina was known for her warm receptions, greeting everyone with a twinkle in her eye and the loving words, "Hello Sweetie," accompanied by a big hug. Her laughter filled the room, and she often turned her kitchen into a dance floor, hosting spontaneous impromptu dance parties that brought smiles to the faces of her loved ones. She had a special love for the outdoors, often found sitting by the river, basking in nature while watching the wildlife around her. A master of embroidery, she poured her creativity and care into every stitch, leaving behind gifts that her family and friends will treasure forever.
She adored feeding people, finding joy in spoiling her beloved granddogs, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. Her nurturing spirit and kindness created an incredible impression on everyone she met, making her presence felt in every home and heart.
Katrina is survived by her beloved daughter, Aubrey Scheuer of Raleigh, North Carolina, and her stepdaughter, Kelly O'Dwyer (Curtis). She leaves behind her brothers, Warren Kimmerly (Elizabeth), J.R. Kimmerly (Tina), and Tom Kimmerly (Donna), and her sister, Gwen Thompson (Gary). In addition, she will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends whose lives were enriched by her vibrant spirit.
Katrina now joins her husband of 30 years, John O'Dwyer, as well as her parents, Martha and Earl Anderson, in a peaceful embrace. Her legacy of love, creativity, and joy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A visitation will be held in her honor on February 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM, both at the Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The family invites all who knew and loved Katrina to join them in celebrating her extraordinary life.
