Kenneth A. "Bud" McGinnis

Kenneth A. "Bud" McGinnis, age 77, of Amity, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016. He was born on September 18, 1939 in Allene, Arkansas, the son of Richard Silas McGinnis and Bulah Thompson McGinnis. On April 4, 1959, he was married to Bonnie McGinnis who preceded him in death on November 4, 2007. He was a United States Navy veteran, enjoyed taking care of his animals and loved playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth A. and Donna McGinnis of Deville, Louisiana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and John Ratton of Amity and Marion and Kenneth Spears of Point Cedar; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and his sister, Becky Drye of Newhope. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, November 10, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.
