Kenneth Wayne Crawford

Our beloved father, Kenneth Wayne Crawford, age 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Ken was born in Hot Springs on May 13, 1953, to Alfred “Shag” and Josephine (Hood) Crawford, who were waiting to welcome Ken when he arrived in Heaven. He was the third of five children, three of whom preceded him in death. Ken was a 1972 graduate of Hot Springs High School.

Following graduation, Ken served as a Private in the Arkansas National Guard. In 1983, he married Carolyn “Siste” Reed, and they enjoyed 22 wonderful years of marriage before she was called home. As a master plumber, Ken created Ken’s Plumbing and later proudly owned and operated Reed Plumbing Supply with Siste. The two of them loved to cook together and enjoyed hosting friends and family at numerous pool parties and holiday celebrations.

Ken is survived by his children John Crawford (Laura) of Hot Springs, Mikah Crawford (Greg) of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Matt Crawford (Rachel) of Hot Springs. Also left to cherish memories with Ken are his grandchildren Sophia, Hayden, Audrey, Kenslee, Tucker, and Ellie, his two sisters, Linda (Charles) Jackson, Kathy (Barry) Sligh, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, November 26, at Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25, 5pm-7pm at Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs. 

Pallbearers will be Jason Carrington, Matt Embry, David Horning, Mark Morgan, Mike Rader, and Andrew Rima. Honorary pallbearers are the wonderful staff at Lake Hamilton Health and Rehab and Genesis Cancer Center.
