Kenneth G. Martin
Kenneth 'Ken' G. Martin, age 75, of Vilonia, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Kenneth was born in Neodesha, KS on January 9, 1946 to Leonard and Edith Martin .
Ken is preceded in death by his parents; sister Gladys Welch; brother Darrell Martin.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cheri. His children, Chuck (Andrea) Martin and Kristy (Malcolm) North; grandchildren, Karis Martin, Hannah Martin, Tabitha Martin, Lydia Martin, Dillon North and Cooper North; one sister Betty Stewart; two brothers Doyle Martin and Howard Martin.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and was a Vietnam veteran. Ken worked for McElroy Metal as a store manager for Metal Mart for 31 years. He was a cowboy extraordinaire who loved and raised horses, team penned and sorted, and loved to go on cattle drives. Ken was also an avid golfer and enjoyed camping.
Ken had a love for God, attended Bible Study Fellowship, loved volunteering at church services and events at Woodland Heights Baptist Church.
His priority was his family and his grandchildren. He enjoyed teaching them to fish, ride horses and play dominoes.
A visitation for Ken will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodland Height Church. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Woodland Heights Baptist Church. Burial will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 1pm.
