Kenneth Hamby

Listen to Obituary

Kenneth Allen Hamby, Sr. of Beebe, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 4, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and George Hamby, former wife Shirley, a sister, Erlene Hamby, a brother, Charles Lee Hamby, and a daughter, Diane Stevens.

He is survived by his wife of twelve years, Peggy; two daughters, Sharon Lybrand of South Carolina and Teri Roper (Dwayne) of Cabot; three sons, Charles Louis (Jan) of Cabot, Allen (Ronaeè) of Florida, and Steve Johnson (Pat) of Pangburn; one sister, Carolyn Temple (Nelson) of Cabot; and one brother, Bill (Bea) of Cabot, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and much loved fur baby Rosie, who he called “Peanut”.

Kenneth loved sports, having played football in high school, coached peewee football and finally cheering for the Razorbacks. He always wanted to know when they were playing and wanted Peggy to check to see if the game was being televised and when, and if not, his next question, was “How about the Cowboys?”.

He enjoyed the outdoors and was always looking for that big deer. Come deer season, you would find him in the woods with his son, Allen.

Kenneth loved the Lord and even though he had been ill for over two years, he always looked to the day when he could return to worship with everyone.
