Kenneth Floyd Harper, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on December 20, 2023, in Benton, Arkansas. He was born on January 20, 1948, in Twilight, West Virginia. Kenneth's life was marked by profound love for his family and an unwavering dedication to his career.

Kenneth worked for his family business, Harper Optical and later spent many years with Nationwide Insurance. He poured his heart and soul into the success of the business and took great pride in serving the community. His commitment and hard work were truly admirable.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Kenneth's true joy came from the time he spent with his family. He cherished every moment he shared with them and always put their happiness above all else. Kenneth's wife of 52 years, Janet Harper of Benton, Arkansas; daughter, Brandy Harper of Benton, Arkansas; brother Ralph Harper and wife Pat of Mabelvale, Arkansas; "adopted daughter" Julianna Branson; as well as numerous other cherished family members and friends survive him. Their love for Kenneth will endure forever.

Preceding Kenneth in death are his son, Jeremy Grant; parents, Darest Carlyle “DC” and Laveda Faye Harper; brother, Larry Harper; and sister, Sharon Hetterick.

Kenneth possessed a vibrant personality filled with an adventurous spirit. Hunting and fishing were his favorite pastimes. He found solace in nature and embraced its beauty during his hunting trips and peaceful fishing excursions. Additionally, Kenneth generously dedicated his time to coaching Little League Baseball. It was a true delight for him to mentor young aspiring athletes and guide them towards success both on and off the field.

During his lifetime, Kenneth served two valiant tours in Vietnam and earned the distinguished Bronze Star for his bravery and valor. This courageous act exemplified his selflessness and unwavering dedication to defending our country's values.

The loss of Kenneth will be deeply felt by all who knew him He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion those he held dear. Those who had the privilege of knowing Kenneth will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

To honor his life, visitation will take place on December 29, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Smith-Benton Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas. A funeral service will follow at the same location at 11:30 a.m. The burial will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas, at 1:00 p.m.

Kenneth Harper's courageous spirit and loving nature touched the lives of many. In our hearts, his memory will continue to shine brightly as a beacon of hope and inspiration. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
