Kenneth Sappington

Kenneth C. Sappington, age 85, passed away on June 18, 2024. He was born on July 7, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri to Dr. Donald E. and Jean (Hook) Sappington. 

Throughout his life, he was an avid horse and mule rider, small planes pilot, scuba diver, motorcyclist, and water skier. He loved old westerns, country music, and he was a “prankster.” He loved chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips, his morning coffee, but he loved his wife, Susan, most of all. He worked for many years for the Railroad, a job he truly enjoyed.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Susan (Pairish) Sappington; son, Edward Kenneth Sappington, and one brother, Thomas Joseph Sappington.

He is survived by his son, Philip (Cheri) Sappington; daughters, Mary Joan Sappington, Samantha (Jimmy) Langley, Margaret (Karl) Huff; grandchildren, John, Melissa, Katherine, Ashlyn, Amanda, Nicole, Shannon, Brian, Kent, Katie and Sydney; and many great grandchildren; his siblings, Joan Hamel, Donald Sappington, Vicki Hale and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be Friday, June 21st, 2:00 p.m. at Oliver Cemetery.
