Kori Brad Garvin

Listen to Obituary

Kori Brad Garvin, 50, went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2026. Born on January 28, 1976, in Norman, Oklahoma, Kori brought laughter, kindness, and a special light into the lives of those who knew him.

Kori spent nearly his entire adult working life as a mechanical technician at Honda World of Conway. Through his skill, honesty, and dedication, he built lasting relationships with loyal customers and coworkers alike. His mother described him as the most ethical person she had ever known—a reflection of the integrity with which he lived and the care he showed others.

With a wonderful sense of humor and a personality that could light up a room, Kori loved few things more than sharing a laugh. He had a heart of gold, and his kindness often revealed itself in simple, meaningful ways. There are countless stories of Kori stopping along the side of the road to help someone in need. If he could lend a hand, he did.

Kori found joy in fishing, whether casting a line from the bank or taking his boat out on the water. On occasion, his beloved Great Dane, Purdy, joined him for the ride. He also enjoyed riding four-wheelers and spending time outdoors.

A loving and protective brother, Kori cared deeply for his family. Although he had no children of his own, he had a tender heart for children and a particular soft spot for redheaded little ones.

Kori shared an especially close bond with his mother, built on love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories. One favorite family story began at a church potluck when he was a child. Reluctant to eat food prepared by anyone else, Kori followed his mother’s green bean casserole around the room, keeping track of the dish he knew he could trust. That childhood favorite became a cherished tradition. In the years that followed, he would call before Thanksgiving to request her famous casserole so he could take it to work and share it with his coworkers.

Kori loved the Lord, and his mother’s nightly reminder to “say your prayers” was a familiar and loving part of their phone conversations.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Garvin of Norman, Oklahoma; his brother, Kevin Garvin of Conway, Arkansas; and his nephew, Grayson Garvin of Noble, Oklahoma.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Helen Garvin Wentz, and stepfather, Ed Wentz; his stepmother, Edith Garvin of Norman, Oklahoma; his sisters, Gina Sipes (Blake), Karen Garvin (Toby), and Laura Wentz of Benton; his brother, Eddie Wentz (Molly) of Conway, Arkansas; his nephews, Zack and Devin (Savannah); his niece, Jessica Langford; his aunt, Judith Lovelace (Perry); his beloved partner of 20 years, Linda Garrett; and a host of extended family, friends, coworkers, and customers whose lives were made brighter by knowing him.

Kori will be remembered for his laughter, his integrity, his generous heart, and the way he made people feel. His presence will be deeply missed, but the stories, kindness, and love he leaves behind will remain with those who knew him.
