Kyle David Thomas, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, peacefully passed away on October 1, 2024, at the age of 50. Born on April 30, 1974, in Memphis, TN, Kyle's infectious spirit touched the lives of many throughout his remarkable journey.
Kyle served as the Assistant Parts Director at Doggett Freight Liner, where his dedication and professionalism were evident to all who worked alongside him.
A proud family man, Kyle was devoted to his wife, Sommer Thomas, and their two daughters, Bailey and Bella Thomas, who were his pride and joy. He cherished each moment spent with his beautiful girls, regarding them as his greatest accomplishment and a constant source of joy.
In addition to his devotion to family, Kyle had a magnetic personality that drew people in. He had a unique ability to forge lifelong friendships, effortlessly picking up conversations as if no time had elapsed since last meeting. Known for his humility and kindness, he was simultaneously extremely smart and approachable, effortlessly making those around him feel valued and cherished.
As an avid sports fan, Kyle never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams, the Razorbacks and Vikings. His passion extended to cooking, where he fancied himself a grill master, often creating joyous gatherings around food for his family and friends.
Kyle is survived by his loving wife, Sommer, and their daughters, Bailey and Bella. He also leaves behind his parents, William Edgar (Linda) Thomas and Nanette Herndon-Chase; his siblings, Kevin (Sarah) Thomas, Kristy Thomas, Shelby Thomas, Tonya (Sheldon) Lawrence, and Stephanie Sissom; his father-in-law, Glenn (Joleyn) Heer; and brother-in-law, Paul (Sarah) Heer.
Visitation will be held on October 3, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Midtowne Church, located at 4037 Boone Rd., Benton, AR 72015. A memorial service will take place the following day on October 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM, also at Midtowne Church.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers with Hospice Home Care for their care and support of Kyle as he transitioned from this life on to his eternal home.
In honor and memory of Kyle, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society to aid in research, and to support families who are also journeying through this courageous and arduous battle.
Kyle David Thomas will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy of love, laughter, kindness and friendship will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
