Larry Eugene Dugger, 76, of Beebe, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Larry was born October 25, 1949. to Eugene and Thresa Dugger.
Larry was a member and Deacon at Union Valley Baptist Church. He drove the church van for AWANAs and senior adult trips. For several years, he picked up groceries and produce for the Christian Outreach Center each week. Serving with the chainsaw crew for the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, Larry worked in Louisiana, Texas, Missouri, and in dozens of Arkansas communities. Larry also volunteered to go on UVBC mission trips to Montana, New Mexico, Kansas, Indiana, Siloam Springs Camp, and several local mission trips.
Larry worked as a sheetrock finisher with his dad and brother for several years. Larry joined the Army National Guard in 1969. He served 38 years and worked at Camp Robinson, retiring as Armament Supervisor for ANG.
Larry loved serving in his church as a Deacon. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening and appreciating God’s creation. He always sought out any baby that he could hold. He loved music and singing and whistling while he worked. He loved his family and loved watching them grow.
Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara Jo Dugger; one son, Bobby (Jessica) Dugger; one daughter, Lisa (Jason) Speer; and four grandchildren, Brayden (Keely) Speer, Dylan Speer, Breanna Dugger, and Cody Dugger.
He is also survived by one brother, John (Dena) Dugger; two sisters, Barbara (Don) Van Pelt and Sheila (Jerry) Lennox; and special nephews, nieces, other family and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Sharon Kay Dugger.
The family expresses their thanks for all the prayers and support during Larry’s long illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Larry’s memory to Union Valley Baptist Church, The Gideons, or St. Jude’s.
Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Union Valley Baptist Church, with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery. Online guest book at www.smithfamilycares.com
