Larry Guajardo

Hilario Ramos Guajardo (“Larry”), 82, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on April 10, 2026. Larry was born on June 2, 1943, in San Diego, Texas, to Juan and Agueda Guajardo. A dedicated and hardworking man, he became a licensed Journeyman and Master Plumber and went on to found North Little Rock Plumbing and General Contracting alongside his brother, Johnny. 

Larry had a deep love for boxing, which became his favorite pastime. Under the mentorship and training of his friend, Paul Holderfield, he developed a passion for the sport that he later shared with his brothers, sons, and nephews. His love for boxing created lasting bonds and cherished memories with those closest to him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Garza and Agueda Ramos Guajardo, and his siblings Raymond Guajardo, Paul Guajardo, Salomon Guajardo, Del Stuenkel, Mamie Wohner, Helen Dandridge, Alex Guajardo, Sr., Millie Carrion, and Johnny Guajardo.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, of 63 years, Johnnie Guajardo; his children, Rhonda Guajardo Zajac (John) and Steve Guajardo (Naomi); and his seven grandchildren, Miranda, Ashton, Alexis, Hallie, Delaney, Hunter, and Lilo; his sisters, Chelo Pettit and Sally Miller; and other cherished family members. Larry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his passion for boxing, and the deep love he had for his family. 

His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the family he held dear.

Visitation is 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Memorial Service is 11:30 AM, Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Peaceful Valley Cemetery, 15800 Clinton Road, North Little Rock.
