Earlier in his life, Larry proudly served in the United States Army, making two tours to Vietnam. His military service was a significant part of his life, shaping his character and instilling in him values that he carried throughout his years.As a baker by profession, Larry's talent was evident. Larry was well-known among his family and friends for his talent in telling jokes, bringing joy to gatherings and leaving fond memories that will be cherished by those who knew him.In addition to his work, Larry had a deep spiritual side and devoted time to study his Bible. It was this faith that guided him through the ups and downs of life, serving as a source of comfort and strength.

Larry leaves behind a loving family. He is survived by his son, Bryan (Christy) Johnson, and his cherished grandchildren: Jessica (Nick) Carmack, Nicholas (Edie) Johnson, and Hunter (Kloe) Johnson. His legacy continues with his great-grandchildren, Blevin Carmack and Parker Johnson, who will carry forward the memories. He is also survived by two sisters Jimmie Ann (Jerry) Grant, and Phyllis (Keith) Wesson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Estell Johnson and Loree Uptigrove.

Larry Johnson will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His combination of humor, kindness, and unwavering spirit will forever remain a guiding light in the lives he touched.
