Larry Varnell, 68, of Des Arc, Arkansas was born February 11, 1949 in Searcy, Arkansas to Ira "Buck" and Mildred (Ingram) Varnell, and he passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017. He was a member of Searcy Elks Lodge #2247. He was a fun-loving jokester and enjoyed duck hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Larry was an exceptional gardener, and loved to cook. Chop suey was his specialty. Above all, he loved his family.
Larry is survived by his children, Marsha Bailey (Aubrey), Rhonda Newman (Dave) and David Varnell (Amy); nine grandchildren, Brett, Brittney, Tish, Patrick, Kaitlyn, Hunter, Charlie, Myla and Brenna; four great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Ashton, Tyler and Brentlee; great-great-grandson Porter; and his brother, Ira Gene Varnell (Natalie).
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Nick.
