Laura Sue Plunkett

Laura Sue Plunkett, age 47, of Kirby, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

She was born in Murfreesboro on January 15, 1978. She was the daughter of Lonnie William Warmick and Deborah Lynn Weeks. She is preceded in death by her father; her niece, Erica Dawn Cogburn; her brother-in-law, Vernon "Buck" Cogburn; her mother-in-law, Georgia Plunkett; and her father-in-law, Robert Plunkett.

Laura loved everyone. She was a wonderful and selfless woman who would help anyone however she needed to. She loved children, adopting and being a "mama" to countless people. She graduated from Caddo Hills High School. Laura was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and friend and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her mother, Deborah Weeks of Norman; her children, Azalynn Plunkett, Walter (Rebecca) Plunkett, Dylan Plunkett, Gavin Plunkett, and Mila Plunkett all of Kirby; her sister, Jessica April Weeks; her best friend and father of her children, Clayton Plunkett; her best friend, Brittany Plunkett; her two bonus children, Jayla and Jackson Furr; and many loving extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel- Glenwood. 

Interment will be held at Liberty Cemetery.
