Lavelle Ledbetter Roberts age 79 of Caney died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in Hot Springs. She was born January 20, 1929 the daughter of Jessie and Adell Allen Ledbetter. She was a member of the Caney Missionary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow "Woody" Roberts.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Bennett and her husband Boyd and Sandra Rogers and her husband Jimmy all of Caney, two sisters, Ruthell Prince of Caney and Alene McClard of Bismarck, two grandchildren, Alicia Robertson and her husband Brad and Kevin Bennett and his wife Stephanie, two great grandchildren, Parker Robertson and Collier Robertson.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Saturday in the Caney Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Robert Cossey officiating and burial in Caney Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Friday evening at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to the Caney Cemetery Fund c/o Jimmy Rogers, 2843 Hwy.128, Bismarck, AR 71929.
