Lawrence "Larry" Deakin, 73, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away June 6, 2017 in Newnan, Georgia. He was born October 29, 1943. He was a retired Air Force Master Sgt. after 22 years of service to his country serving in the Vietnam and Cold wars.
He was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church serving as a Sacristan, Eucharistic Minister, and Adoration Adorer.
He achieved an Associate degree in electronics from ASU and a Bachelor's degree in business from Park University.
After retirement from the USAF, he was employed at AGL Corporation as a Technical Writer and Quality Control Manager and retired in 2006.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two son-in-laws.
He is survived by his wife Claudia Deakin; daughters Lisa Breedlove, Kimberly Fudge; and sons Lawrence Deakin, Jr. and Eric Deakin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 JFK Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas with Father Michael Bass officiating. Burial will be at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Monday, June 12, 2017 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home followed by a Rosary with Deacon Chuck Farrar officiating.
