Lee Roy Dollar

Lee Roy Dollar, born April 5, 1939, age 86, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his love ones.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Lee Roy is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Dollar, of 64 years; a daughter, Rhonda Porter of Hot Springs; a son, Wayne Dollar and daughter-in-law, Merlyn of Hot Springs; three brothers and two sisters, Rebecca Marie Dollar of Glenwood, William Dollar of Texas, Veda Forga of Glenwood, Junior Dollar of Glenwood and Charles Dollar and Judy of Bonnerdale; four grandchildren, Joseph Phillips, Holly Williams, Seth Dollar and Bryce Dollar all of Hot Springs; and three great-grandchildren, Nicole and Dana Anderson of Amity, and Erica Coston of Hot Springs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Calvin and Lettie Dollar; three brothers, J.D. Dollar, George Dollar, Lendell Dollar; and sister, Ima Faye O’Neil.

After retiring from CHI Saint Vincent as a skilled and talented specialized cabinetry maker, Lee Roy enjoyed the great outdoors, especially Colorado, Alaska, Canada, and the National Parks. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs.

Honorary pall bearers will be Dr. Kyle Rooper, his nurse, Becky, the Staff of 70 West Family Medical Clinic, and the nursing staff of Elite Hospice of Hot Springs. A Special thank you to nurse Whitney Whitaker of Elite Hospice.
