Lee Swope
Lee R. Swope, 88, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, July 23, 2012. He was a retired truck driver for the City of Little Rock, a United States Navy veteran in World War II and a member of Morrison Chapel Baptist Church in North Little Rock.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Laura Swope, of North Little Rock; three sons, Roger D. Swope (Lana), of East End, Sam L. Swope, of North Little Rock and Douglas Matthew Swope (Kelly), of Sherwood; two daughters, Gloria Jean Bell (Wayne) of North Little Rock and Ann Pennington (Russ) of Landmark; sister, Karla Goss (Harold) of Hot Springs Village; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m., Thursday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
