Leigh Green

Leigh Berrington Green, 45 of Sherwood, on the morning of December 26, 2012, finally succumbed to the disease, ALS that has ravaged her body for the past 5 years. She has now reached the end of her journey and is running a 5k with the angels. She spent such a longtime in such extreme disability that it is hard for some to remember her before her illness. Please, try to remember her as a loving mother, as a helper, as an artist, as an inspiration, as a person of great faith, as a friend, as a soul mate, but please remember her.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, an Environmental Geologist with Southern Company of Arkansas and a Girl Scout Leader.
She is survived by her husband, John Charles "Chuck" Green, Jr., of Sherwood; three daughters, Rebecca Catherine Green, Sarah Michael Green, and Rachel Olivia Green, all of Sherwood; father, William Richard Berrington, Jr., of Little Rock and two brothers, William Richard Berrington, III, of Seattle, Washington and Robert Charles Berrington, of Muncie, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her mother, Michal Clara Berrington.
Memorials may be made to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association of Arkansas, 1113 W. Poplar Street, Suite 2300, Rogers, Arkansas 72756.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
