Lela Jo (Buchanan) Taskey, 61, of Maumelle passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018. She was born October 12, 1956 in Benton, Arkansas to Ralph Buchanan and Anna Butler.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Taskey; daughter, Shauri (Justin) Phillips; sisters, Kathi (Sam) Rumbaoa and Patti Shell; brother, Mark (Cindy) Buchanan; grandson, Jace Phillips; granddaughter, Ava Phillips; and her life-long friend, Mary Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Jessie Buchanan; step-father, Herbert Butler; and one brother.
She was very active in the Workers Compensation Industry in the State of Arkansas. One of her favorite places to be was with her family at Lake Ouachita/Goat Mountain. She had an infectious laugh that could bring a smile to your face. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.
A visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2018 at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
